Our Story & Challenges
Our Journey

Our Beginnings
Worldia was born from a bold idea and a shared passion for reshaping travel. The early years were marked by trial and error: a weak platform, slow sales, and hard lessons. But in 2015, we found our stride by embracing a B2B2C model, laying the foundation for future success. By 2019, we were growing steadily, building key partnerships, and proving the strength of our vision.

Covid & Our Challenges
The pandemic hit the travel industry hard, and we were no exception. What began as a temporary disruption turned into a 14-month-long crisis. Just before that, we had already faced a major challenge with the bankruptcy of one of our biggest clients, Thomas Cook. But through it all, our team pushed forward. These challenges sparked some of our most creative problem-solving. We reinvented how we operate, built new ways to serve our partners, and emerged from the crisis not just stronger, but smarter and more agile than ever.

Our Successes & International Expansion
These years marked a turning point. We raised €23M in funding, scaled operations, and broke into new international markets, including the U.S, UK, Canada and Germany. Our team embraced structural and technical transformations, including migrating our tech in-house and adopting leaner practices. Despite growing pains in summer 2022, we came out stronger and more aligned.

The adventure continues
Today, Worldia is focused on sustainable growth and long-term impact. With our founding team still at the helm, we're expanding thoughtfully, investing in our people, and staying true to our mission. Challenges remain but so do our ambition and drive. The journey is far from over, and the best is yet to come.
